Photography has been a part of my life since I was 16 years old. I learned how to compose, expose, and develop my images under the guidance of a professional fine arts photographer at The Fine Arts Center in Greenville, SC. For the past 15 years, I enjoyed exploring different genres in photography, but find myself most drawn to portraiture.
Triple Falls, NC: This beautiful waterfall is just a short hike from the main road. Even though it is about 2 hours away from where I used to live, I make the drive a few times a year to walk through the forest and enjoy the scenery. For this shot, I had the camera on a tripod and used a 4-Stop neutral density filter to decrease the amount of light coming in so that I can use a slower shutter speed. Slower shutter speed gives the water trail effect. Since the rocks are not moving, they stay in sharp focus. This image was enhanced in Adobe Lightroom.
Wedding Table Arrangement: Glassware backlit by large windows make for great shots.
Floral Arrangements: This was one of the more unique Bouquet arrangements I've seen. The bride and her florist had excellent taste.
